We all have that thing we are addicted to when it comes to our diet. For some people, it’s French Fries, Chocolate Chip Cookies, or in my case, all of the above. Not sandwich bread, but freshly baked French Bread and butter is my weakness. Especially if there is a good soup or something to dip it into.

I also love having some good bread with any Italian dish because I like to run the bread behind the sauce. Man o man, that is a good time. I can sense that you might feel the same way I do. Therefore, I have done you a favor. I made it so you can have bread all the time that is good and yummy by sharing with you this awesome homemade garlic spread recipe. All you have to do is go to your favorite bakery, buy a fresh loaf of French or Italian bread (or make it), make this garlic spread recipe, and we can be happy with bread together…forever!

This sounds wonderful and I think it will be great for gift giving this holiday season. I just have one question, I see that the oregano is fresh but it doesn’t indicate fresh for the basil so I am assuming the measurement of 1 tablespoon is for dried basil, am I correct? Thanks for sharing.

Outstanding! Easy to make and easy to use. If I have odd bits of different cheeses, I throw them into the mix as well. Cheddar, swiss, gruyere, romano…it uses up the cheese and adds a different component to the spread. Great recipe…so glad to have found it!
