Georgia football scholarship breakdown after Benjamin Yurosek addition (2024)

The Dawgs picked up one of the top players available in the transfer portal on Friday. Here is how the 2024 roster looks for the Dawgs in terms of athletes on scholarship.

Kipp Adams

The Georgia Bulldogs signed 28 players in the 2024 class and added seven players via the transfer portal, including Stanford tight end Benjamin Yurosek on Friday. By our best calculations, 28 signatures and seven transfer portal additions would put Georgia at 90 scholarship players on the 2024 roster, but that number is likely to be 88 on scholarship in year one right now, with two delayed until 2025. Unlike in 2021, seniors who decide to take advantage of the COVID-19 waiver for a super senior season will count toward the 85 scholarship limit. That number does not need to be met until fall camp, so there is plenty of time for additional attrition.
