Fifth Joyful Mystery: The finding of Jesus in the temple

His parents did not know it ... After three days they found him in the temple, sitting among the teachers, listening to them and asking them questions; and all who heard him were amazed at his understanding and his answers" (Lk 2:41-47).

Finding Jesus in the Temple: The fruit of the mystery is zeal for God. Jesus went to the temple at a young age with immense zeal for His heavenly father. How could we bear this fruit in our own lives?

FIRST SATURDAY MEDITATION

It means spending 15 minutes with Our Lady thinking about, in a prayerful way that opens your soul to God's graces, some of the mysteries of the rosary. This doesn't require meditating on all 15 mysteries in one go during the 15 minutes meditation; it can be one mystery or more.

The First Joyful Mystery – The Annunciation

She will conceive by the Holy Spirit, and bear a son who will be called the Son of the Most High. Mary accepts this honor, while also accepting, without fully understanding, the pain and sorrow that would accompany its fulfillment.

Mary and Joseph headed back home and after a day of travel realised Jesus was missing, so they returned to Jerusalem, finding Jesus three days later. He was found in the Temple in discussion with the elders, "listening to them and asking them questions". They were amazed at his learning, especially given his young age.

The temple is the house of the Lord. Some gospel ordinances and covenants are so sacred that God permits us to receive them only in special places called temples. A temple is literally a house of the Lord—a holy place set apart from the rest of the world.

Our change in conduct and character is fruit.

“But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control” (Galatians 5:22NIV).

Paul's writing about the fruit of the Spirit is found in Galatians 5: 22-23. In the New International Version of the Bible, these verses read: But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control.

First fruit is the giving of a person's first substance to God, according to Romans 11:16. Payment of first fruit is not compulsory but voluntary. Those who want special blessings in their work, business and career are encouraged to pay. It is biblical and failure to pay may lead to low increase.
